New Delhi: A day after being released from Tihar jail on interim bail until 1 June, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal dove headlong into the Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) election campaign. In the morning, Kejriwal, accompanied by his wife Sunita, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann, and senior AAP leaders, visited the Hanuman Mandir in Connaught Place. Following this, Kejriwal held a press conference at the party headquarters in Delhi.
During this press conference, Kejriwal attacked the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and asked whether Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who turns 75 next year, will retire, and who will succeed him.
“Modi government will not be formed on 4 June,” he said. “INDIA alliance government will be formed on 4 June and Aam Aadmi Party will be part of that government.”
In the evening, he also held a roadshow in Delhi’s Mehrauli along with Mann.
On the ground, trailing the Delhi CM was ThePrint’s Suraj Singh Bisht.
