New Delhi: Kareena Kapoor Khan is dancing at a rave party in Karachi and fans are “welcoming her to the Pakistani electronic scene.”

Pakistan is fulfilling its Bollywood cravings in unique ways. In a viral video, the Bollywood actress can be seen grooving to electronic music tunes—only it’s not her, it’s an AI-generated image of her.

Pakistani DJ Hamza Harris held Pakistan’s first audiovisual (AV) show in Karachi.

“Been working on this track for a minute, and I finally wrapped it up just in time for the show. I knew if I was gonna play it, it had to have a visual. The track was inspired while I was watching Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, and I sampled that iconic moment when Pooh says—well, you know the line. So I thought, why not have Kareena Kapoor dancing? We pulled it off—and it was a hit,” Harris wrote.

The visuals show an animated Kareena dancing in a pink formal dress.

“It’s iconic. It’s chaotic. And honestly, no one’s done that at a rave before,” he further wrote, and Pakistanis agree.

@kareenakapoorkhan about time we see the real you!!!!,” Mariam Ifzah wrote on Instagram.

Others think it is “unreal”.

“Never thot i wuld see the day where we all rave to kareena kapoor LMFAOO THIS WAS UNREAL,” a Pakistani wrote on X.

‘Land of biryani and basslines’

It was the country’s very first audiovisual show and, according to Harris, it proved that “AV shows don’t just belong to other global cities or major festivals. They belong here too, in the land of biryani and now… basslines.”

In his Instagram caption, the DJ wrote: “The visuals melted minds, the music slapped (in the spiritual sense), and the crowd? Let’s just say we collectively left our hopes and dreams somewhere in the SMD screen. From mind-bending visuals that looked like they were coded by aliens on mushrooms to beats so heavy they triggered —Just be. didn’t just raise the bar, they launched it into another dimension”.

“It was a techno baptism – a rave renaissance”, he added.

Pakistanis are actively tagging Kareena in the comments. Even Harris is hoping that Kareena and Karan Johar see it one day.

“The crowd went wild. Just hoping @karanjohar and @kareenakapoorkhan see this someday and get how funny, unexpected, and hype it was,” he wrote on Instagram.
