New Delhi: Harsh Goenka, chairman of RPG Enterprises, posted on his X handle that Vaibhav Sooryavanshi watches the Chhota Bheem cartoon.
Fifteen-year-old Sooryavanshi, who has been selected for the Indian T20I squad for the upcoming summer series against England and Ireland, is making headlines with his performances on the field. Now we also know that his pre-match routine is watching Chhota Bheem on his phone.
“Did you know what the young sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi does before a match to stay calm and focused? He watches his favourite Chhota Bheem cartoons on his phone! So happy to know that he is holding on to his childhood,” posted Harsh Goenka on 6 June 2026.
Keeping the kid alive
Many commented on Goenka’s post, agreeing with him, that the cricketer is still a kid and such a talented one at that. “It’s easy to forget that behind the headlines and the talent, he’s still just a kid,” commented Krrish Kumar.
“Vaibhav ke liye Chhota Bheem cartoon hai, bowlers ke liye horror show. Sir…Vaibhav Match se pehle Chhota Bheem dekhta hai, match ke badd bowlers apna career flashback mein dekhte hain.”(Chhota Bheem cartoon for Vaibhav, horror story for bowlers. Sir, Vaibhav watches Chhota Bheem before the match, after the match bowlers see their career’s flashback) commented Rakesh Kuldeep.
“He’s my Chhota Bheem on the maidaan. He’s constantly giving me Hope, highs, and a promise that Indian cricket is in the right hands. 15 is where it begins…” commented Meen Iyer.

At just 14 years old, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi stunned the cricket world by smashing a 35-ball century for the Rajasthan Royals in the IPL (Indian Premier League), becoming the youngest centurion in IPL history. The teenage sensation also shattered Chris Gayle’s long-standing IPL record by hammering 72 sixes in a single season and became the fastest batter to complete 1,000 T20 runs, reaching the milestone in only 23 innings and 440 balls.
Earlier, he had already made himself known on the global stage during the U-19 World Cup, where he blasted a world-record 175 off 80 balls against England in the final to guide India to the title. His meteoric rise has now earned him a call-up to India’s senior T20I squad for the Ireland and England tours, along with selection for the Asian Games squad.
Despite his explosive T20 success, Sooryavanshi has made it clear in recent interviews that he does not want to be limited to the shortest format and dreams of representing India across all three formats.
