New Delhi: In a career spanning six decades, Dharmendra ruled cinema as Bollywood’s original He-Man. But before that, he was also the big screen’s timeless romantic. His smile and charisma had the power to captivate crores.
Dharmendra’s filmography is a treasure trove of unforgettable performances and evergreen tunes. The songs were brought to life by Kishore Kumar and Mohammed Rafi.
In an interview with Aaj Tak, Dharmendra said that Rafi’s voice would merge into his characters, making the performance natural.
With over 100 songs, their partnership was a significant contribution to Hindi film music. ‘Mere Dushman Tu Meri Dost’ from Aaye Din Bahaar Ke (1966), ‘Main Jat Yamla Pagala Deewana’ from Pratigya (1975), and ‘Aaj Mausam Bada Beiman Hai’ from Loafer (1973) are some of their all-time hits.
