New Delhi: Rajpal Yadav has resumed work after getting bail on 16 February in a cheque bounce case. He gave a glimpse of his vanity van on 23 February as he began shooting for his upcoming film Welcome to the Jungle, soon after returning to Mumbai.

In the clip shared on Instagram, he spoke about his long journey in the film industry and expressed gratitude for the support he has received during this challenging phase.

The actor, dressed in a white half-shirt over a white tee, got nostalgic as he spoke about how he came to Mumbai on 30 June 1997, and on 13 July that year, he got his first acting job in the Doordarshan TV serial Swaraj. “The shooting was held behind Pune’s Yerwada jail. I had the opportunity of hearing ‘action’ from Dayal Nihalini for the very first time,” said Yadav.

He also mentioned that he will be completing 30 years in the industry in 2027.  He added that he has had the blessings of not just his family and god, but also his audience.

“Heartfelt thanks to all of you for your love and support. I will keep bringing more through the series Vanity Vichar,” added the actor with a smile.

“ I love anjan and manoranjan (entertainment). God bless you and love you all,” said Yadav, ending the video.

Temporary relief

The Delhi High Court granted an interim suspension of Rajpal’s sentence until 18 March, allowing him temporary relief. Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma directed the actor to furnish a personal bond of Rs 1 lakh along with one surety of the same amount. The court also noted that Rs 1.5 crore had been deposited in the complainant’s bank account, which made a case for Yadav’s bail.

During his time in jail, actors Sonu Sood and politician Tej Pratap Yadav extended monetary help, while singer Guru Randhawa signed him on for a music video. Later, his manager mentioned how other members of Bollywood also came together to help out the actor.

“A lot of people have reached out to help Rajpal Yadav. Actors like Sonu Sood, Salman Khan, and Ajay Devgn have extended their support. I was just on a call with David Dhawan—he too reached out. Ratan Nain, Varun Dhawan… many people are coming forward to help him this time, which Rajpal has deeply appreciated,” Yadav’s manager Goldie told The Indian Express.
