Washington [US], April 23 (ANI): Katie Maloney, one of the original cast members of Bravo’s reality series ‘Vanderpump Rules’, has expressed her reservations about the show’s reboot.

According to Deadline, in a recent podcast interview, hosted by her ex-husband Tom Schwartz, Maloney shared her thoughts on the revamped series, which is currently filming with a new cast.

Maloney shared that while she was ready to move on from the show, she still cares about its legacy and the impact it had on the reality TV landscape.

“I was ready to walk away, but it doesn’t mean I don’t care about our show and the legacy that we brought to it,” she said.

However, Maloney expressed her disappointment with the reboot, calling it “cheap” and suggesting that it would be better to create a new show rather than trying to replicate the original formula.

Maloney explained that trying to recreate the success of ‘Vanderpump Rules’ with a new cast wouldn’t work.

“To me, it just feels like it’s going to try to have the same flavour, the same everything…. When you try to replicate the recipe just based off of taste, you can’t do it,” she said, as quoted by Deadline.

The original ‘Vanderpump Rules’ cast was fractured after the “Scandoval” scandal, which involved Tom Sandoval cheating on Ariana Madix with Raquel Leviss.

The show’s 12th season will feature a new group of servers, with Lisa Vanderpump being the only holdover from the original cast. (ANI)
