Bollywood’s fashion game was on point in 2025, and the stars hardly gave us a moment to complain. Celebrities impressed with standout fashion moments that kept the spotlight firmly on their style.

From Shah Rukh Khan’s striking black dandy look and Kiara Advani’s Met Gala debut showcasing her baby bump, to Orry’s bag worth Rs 6 lakh and Tamannaah Bhatia’s bold hot-pink bikini appearance in the song ‘Ghafoor’ from The Ba***ds of Bollywood, 2025 was packed with unforgettable fashion moments.

SRK’s much-awaited Met Gala debut

Shah Rukh Khan walked the Met Gala red carpet in a custom-tailored black suit that included high-waisted trousers, a black shirt, and a tailcoat. The deep neckline of the shirt was adorned with statement jewels, including chunky silver chain, a choker, an SRK locket, and intricately designed finger rings.

But a bold diamond-studded ‘K’ pendant (representing King Khan) stole the limelight. Khan’s look was put together by designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee.

Kiara Advani and baby bump

A pregnant Kiara Advani arrived at the Met Gala for the first time in a custom Gaurav Gupta gown. Following the footsteps of actors like Alia Bhatt and Deepika Padukone, Advani went all in with an ensemble that paid homage to the late André Leon Talley, the legendary fashion editor and Black icon, with a dramatic double-panel cape. She became the first Indian actor to walk the Met steps with a baby bump.

Advani wore a sculptural gown featuring an antique gold breastplate, with two hearts—mother and child, connected by an abstract umbilical cord. A white satin train with black trim flowed from the back, adding contrast.

Diljit Dosanjh & Dandyism

Dosanjh ruled the Met Gala 2025 carpet in a custom Prabal Gurung. An ivory and gold sherwani, paired with a tehmat (draped bottoms) and layered with a sweeping cape embroidered with the silhouetted map of Punjab, adorned his frame. A feathered, jewel-studded turban completed the regal look. He also drew major attention due to a layered diamond set by Golecha’s Jewels, emulating the Maharaja Bhupinder Singh’s iconic Patiala necklace by Cartier.

While traditional Black Dandyism often incorporates a dandy walking stick as a symbol of elegance and authority, Dosanjh gave a desi twist to it. He wielded a lion-headed, jewel-studded kirpan (sword).

The singer-actor wore a Panthère de Cartier watch, Nature Sauvage Tigre bracelet and the newly-launched Panthère watch in 18K rose gold and diamonds, along with a Faune et Flore de Cartier bracelet in 18k yellow gold with emeralds and diamonds.

Tamannah Bhatia’s whale tail

Tamannaah Bhatia raised the temperature with her looks in the song ‘Ghafoor’ from Aryan Khan’s The Ba***ds of Bollywood. She wore a hot pink bikini top paired with shimmery sheer pants inside a cage setup. In another look, she appeared in a white bikini-inspired ensemble, and for her third appearance, she wore a bejewelled top that highlighted her curves, paired with jeans.

Across all three outfits, a clear ’90s throwback stood out.

The visible thong straps —popularly known as the “whale tail” — echoed the daring, talked-about trend that dominated the late ’90s and early 2000s.

The Gucci saree

For the closing ceremony at Cannes Film Festival, Alia Bhatt wore a nude-colour sequinned Gucci sari-inspired drape. It was covered with the brand’s signature GG monogram. Styled by Rhea Kapoor, the ensemble is said to be the luxury brand’s first creation with the iconic Indian silhouette. Bejewelled from head to toe in Swarovski crystals, Bhatt’s ethnic outing was an ode to Indian heritage.

It included a plunging blouse, a straight skirt and a dupatta-like drape all cocooned in a mesh GG monogrammed jaal. She styled her hair in old-Hollywood waves falling over her shoulders, and for jewels, a diamond tennis necklace was just enough.

Maharaja Sawai Padmanabh Singh aka Pacho

Sawai Padmanabh Singh, the heritage figurehead and brand influencer, is curating his fashion identity. He paired a rust-and-white striped shirt with a dark green overshirt and denim, giving classic tailoring a laid-back, modern twist.

Princess Gauravi Kumari

Princess Gauravi Kumari turned heads in a corset dress made entirely from repurposed fabrics, showcased in mid-2025. The dress blended a regal silhouette with environmentally conscious design, marrying couture details to a meaningful message about sustainability. This move was celebrated as it made style socially relevant. And when royalty does it, the impact is profound.

Orry’s lobster bag

While other celebrities were making headlines for their outfits, Social media influencer Orhan Awatramani, aka Orry’s phone covers and bags stole the show. At the screening of Homebound, Orry wore simple dark-brown pants paired with a light-brown tank top. To elevate the look, he accessorised it with a Louis Vuitton bag designed to look like a lobster, with tentacles, legs, and pincer claws.

This lobster-shaped bag was unveiled as part of Pharrell Williams’ Fall/Winter 2025 collection for the French luxury house during Paris Fashion Week. The piece retails for Rs 6,45,000.’

Priyanka Chopra

Priyanka Chopra didn’t quite have a phenomenal year in terms of fashion. Yes, there were hits here and there, like the polka dot gown and big hat at the Met Gala and the white structured gown at the Bvlgari event. But the actor delivered an iconic fashion moment at the ‘Globe Trotter’ event in Hyderabad, last month. She left the jaws dropped in an exquisite ivory Anamika Khanna lehenga. For jewellery, the actress opted for a multi-layered kundan and pearl choker necklace. And then some gold bangles, a pair of studs, a maang tika, and a kamarbandh. She definitely looked every bit of ‘Mandakini’, her character in the upcoming Mahesh Babu film.
