New Delhi: Akshaye Khanna’s entry scene in Dhurandhar has sent social media into a frenzy. Fans are obsessing over his screen presence, while celebrities like Saina Nehwal are recreating his now-iconic walk.

On Sunday, Ranveer Singh shared the same clip on Instagram and officially dropped the background track featured in the scene.

The sequence shows Khanna’s character stepping out of his car and walking into a small event space where dancers are performing around him. Dressed head to toe in black, paired with aviator-style sunglasses, he enters with authority, greets the crowd, dances for a bit, and then takes his seat. But it’s his trademark smirk that truly steals the moment.

Singh wrote in the caption, “So here’s ‘THAT’ track from the movie ……. FLIPPERACHI! Book your tickets now. Link in bio.”

The comment section was soon flooded with fans lauding Khanna for his “aura” and “commanding screen presence.”

“We searched whole night for this one yesterday. Here it is! Full volume,” a fan wrote. Another said, “Man, that entry scene hits different.”

“Aura Khanna,” a comment read.

Some said Khanna “aura farmed so hard” that the audience forgot he was a bad guy. Fans even pointed out that they went to watch the film for Ranveer Singh, but Khanna surprised them. And, the actor arguably overshadowed the entire star cast.

Jamal Kudu vs FA9LA

Earlier, when Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal (2023) was released, the internet became fixated on ‘Jamal Kudu’, an Iranian folk and popular wedding song used for Bobby Deol’s character Abrar’s entry.

Now, however, the internet has shifted its loyalty and has moved to the Bahraini track ‘FA9LA’, which plays during Rehman Dakait’s (Khanna’s) entrance as he heads into a meeting with the Baloch rebel leader.

Bahraini rapper Flipperachi, whose real name is Hussam Aseem, is attracting major attention in India after his song went viral.

FA9LA’ is reportedly pronounced faṣla in Bahraini Arabic. The number “9” doesn’t change the pronunciation but represents the Arabic sound ayn. In Bahraini slang, the word refers to having a “fun time” or a “party.”

Past the Rs 100 crore

It’s not just fans who are hooked on Khanna’s Dhurandhar entry set to the now-viral track; badminton star Saina Nehwal is equally captivated and decided to recreate the moment herself.

During a recent outing, Nehwal mimicked Khanna’s signature style, and was soon joined by her father, whose poses reminded many of Khanna’s own father, the late actor Vinod Khanna.

“When you are Akshaye Khanna fan, and papa is Vinod Khanna fan,” she wrote in the caption.

Dhurandhar earned Rs 43 crore in India on Sunday, recording its biggest collection so far. In its opening weekend, the film’s domestic collection crossed the Rs 100 crore mark.

Its global collection now stands at Rs 158 crore in just three days.
