Chandigarh, Aug 26 (PTI) Private equity firm Kedaara Capital will invest USD 200 million (about Rs 1,900 crore) in orthopaedic and rehabilitation products manufacturer Tynor Orthotics, the Mohali-based company said on Wednesday.

Tynor Orthotics’ promoters PJ Singh and AJ Singh said the investment would help the company expand its presence in India and global markets. Kedaara Capital will work with Tynor’s promoters, professional management team and long-term strategic partner Thuasne to support the company’s next phase of growth, the statement said.

The investment will focus on expanding Tynor’s reach across India and boost its manufacturing capabilities, the company said.

According to the company, it will use lean manufacturing processes to produce products at competitive prices.

India’s medical devices sector was among the fastest-growing sectors in the world. Tynor had established itself as a leading brand in orthopaedic supports and rehabilitation products, and Kedaara was pleased to partner with its promoters and management, Sunish Sharma, founder and Managing Partner of Kedaara Capital, said.

Tynor has a presence in more than 60 countries.

Founded in 1993, Tynor makes orthopaedic supports, mobility aids, sports performance products and rehabilitation solutions.

O3 Capital acted as the exclusive financial adviser for the transaction. PTI VSD BAL BAL BAL

Nine Years, Made Possible by Readers

In 2017, Shekhar Gupta started ThePrint with a simple belief: Indian readers want journalism that asks why and what next, not just what. And that enough of them would be willing to pay for good journalism.

Nine years on, that belief has held.

And, in these nine years, we’ve stayed true to our mission. We’ve been asking the follow-up questions, going beyond the headlines and explaining what’s actually happening. We’ve travelled across the country to bring you in-depth, visually-compelling stories from the ground.

It’s been nine years of readers choosing to make this possible. If you’d like to be one of them:
