Kolkata, May 14 (PTI) The JIS Group on Thursday launched an Entrepreneurship Incubation Centre at its New Town campus with an aim to strengthen the startup ecosystem in the eastern region by supporting student entrepreneurs and early-stage ventures.

The initiative seeks to create a collaborative innovation platform connecting students, startup founders, corporates, incubators, academic institutions and industry stakeholders, the Group said in a statement.

The incubation centre will run two dedicated programmes – a pre-incubation programme for students focusing on idea validation, startup fundamentals and mentorship, and a growth track programme aimed at helping early-stage startups with product-market fit, go-to-market strategies, fundraising readiness and business scalability, it said.

The centre will also facilitate mentorship and networking opportunities through interactions with entrepreneurs, investors and industry leaders.

In addition, the initiative will feature a corporate innovation programme to enable collaboration between corporates, startups and students in solving industry challenges and developing pilot projects, the statement said.

“The launch of the Entrepreneurship Incubation Centre reflects JIS’s vision of building a thriving innovation ecosystem where students and young founders are empowered with the right mentorship, exposure, and opportunities to create impactful ventures,” JIS Group Director Jaspreet Kaur said.
