Mumbai, Apr 22 (PTI) Pune-based HackersEra has announced the launch of its Vehicle Security Operations Centre (VSOC), which will provide continuous monitoring of vehicle security across entire fleets, among others, to help automobile manufacturers meet upcoming cybersecurity regulations.
With India expected to have over 10 million connected vehicles on the road by 2028, the need for strong cybersecurity systems is increasing, Vikash Chaudhary, CEO of HackersEra, said.
The company’s platforms, public key infrastructure and key management infrastructure are already being used in production vehicles, managing critical security functions such as certificate provisioning, secure boot processes, and signing of over-the-air (OTA) software updates, he said.
The newly launched VSOC provides continuous monitoring of vehicle security across entire fleets. It analyses data from connected vehicles to detect potential cyber threats and respond before they escalate, Chaudhary said.
New regulations will require vehicle manufacturers to implement cybersecurity management systems and secure software update processes, he said. “Manufacturers who delay building these capabilities may struggle to meet compliance timelines, while those who act now will be in a much stronger position,” he added.
