Joint India-US amphibious exercise Tiger Triumph 2024 concludes

New Delhi: The bilateral amphibious exercise between India and the US, titled Tiger Triumph 2024, concluded Sunday. The exercise was aimed at promoting better understanding and cooperation in humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations.

The Harbour Phase of the exercise was conducted in Visakhapatnam from March 18 to 25, which included pre-sail discussions, subject matter expert exchanges, sports engagements, ship boarding drills, and cross deck visits.

The Sea phase of the exercise was conducted from March 26 to 30, during which the units from both the countries conducted maritime exercises and landed troops at Kakinada.

The joint command and control centre was set up by the troops to conduct joint relief and medical camps for the humanitarian assistance operations. The exercise also included cross-deck helicopter operations by the Indian Navy and US Navy helicopters off Kakinada and Visakhapatnam.

The Indian Navy side included one Landing Platform Dock, Landing Ship Tanks (Large), helicopters, guided missile frigate, and long-range maritime reconnaissance aircraft for the exercise. The US Task Force comprised of one US Navy Landing Platform Dock, helicopters, a destroyer, maritime reconnaissance, and medium lift aircraft, along with US Marines.
