The Modi government choosing senior military appointments disregarding seniority is questionable.
You cannot have different rules for different persons. One day you follow seniority, another day you want capable persons.
You must realise that people have assumed seniormost positions after being fully capable only. Then how can you disregard them?
Today we consider NIrmala Seetharam incapable of handling finance. Why is she not changed?
Naval chiefs have been selected bypassing seniority. Why?
It leaves a bad taste and also it becomes difficult for the new incumbent to perform his duties successfully.
