Army Dental Centre of Research & Referral celebrates silver jubilee

New Delhi: The Army Dental Centre of Research & Referral (ADC R&R), the largest dental establishment of the Armed Forces, celebrated its silver jubilee on 01 May 2024.

General Officer Commanding in Chief, Western Command Lieutenant General MK Katiyar visited the Dental Centre on the occasion and released a Special Postal Cover. The centre offers post-graduate training in five specialties of dentistry, including oral and maxillofacial surgery, prosthodontics and crown and bridge, periodontics and oral implantology, conservative dentistry and endodontics, Orthodontics and dentofacial orthopaedics.

It has also pioneered the use of Nitrous Oxide-Oxygen minimal sedation for anxiolysis and analgesia during minor oral surgical and rehabilitative treatments in all age groups in the Armed Forces.

This is the only centre in the Armed Forces that employs intraoral scanners for the fabrication of computer-aided designing (CAD), computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) prosthesis. It has also taken a significant step forward in the development of oral surgery techniques by using intraoral scanners for the fabrication of computer-aided designing (CAD), computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) prosthesis. The library of the centre is RFID enabled with a large digital access of journals and books.

The ADC R&R is dedicated to providing high-quality dental care to soldiers, their families, and veterans. The centre’s efforts have been aimed at making a difference in the lives of individuals, and it is expected to continue its growth and expansion in the years to come.
