Reddit is full of fanatics ! One does not need to dive into the crevice of North South divide. It is also full of white supremacists and far left propaganda spewing users. Social media has become a moat of hate and is no longer the place where people used to find their childhood buddies. It is time people move away from these sites since the owners have clearly sold their ethics and morality to the advertisers and are drowned in the ocean of engagement farming.
Reddit is a place which attracts left wing people and trolls. Left wing people have a tendency to victimize themselves and have a negative outlook towards life. Don’t be bothered by it because these people hate themselves.
It’s not North-South divide. R/India is not run by Indian mods – there is word that at least 2 are Pakis. Any positive post about India is immediately taken down or poster is banned. The 3.3 Mn folks there seems like anarchists for whom this country is nothing short than a shithole. Everyone else is wrong, except for they themselves.
Note that R/India, R/Bangladesh and R/Kashmiri either have same mods or mods are connected. A ban in 1 community also earns you a ban on the other 2 even if you have never posted in those subs.
To say it’s just North-South divide is doing injustice to the real injustice that is R/india. GoI needs to look at this seriously.
