1. We all know that Smt Mamata Bannerjee, West Bengal (WB) chief minister and head of Trinamool Congress, as also many leaders of the Congress party in WB, and of course all factions of the Communists, are uncomfortable with fact that BJP’s popularity is growing in WB. They are making all efforts to defeat BJP and this is understandable. 2. However, to say that if BJP wins in Lok Sabha again in 2019, our democracy will be in danger is a far-fetched statement that appears to have been made more to attract newspaper headlines, and not with seriousness it deserves. 3. In context of what Ms Mamata Bannerjee say about BJP’s Hindutva politics, my question is this: are political parties, who claim to be truly secular, ready to do some critical self-examination to find out reasons of growth of BJP in WB and in many North Eastern States where BJP had very little presence about a decade ago? 4. I wish to say here that Congress and regional parties like SP, BSP Trinamool Congress, RJD JD(S), NCP and the Communists, who all claim to be opposed to the fundamentalist BJP, have still not shown willingness and courage to oppose the fundamentalists in the India Muslim community. That I suppose is one major reason why the educated middle class has moved closer to BJP. Are the opposition parties ready to accept this situation and fight BJP on ideological grounds?
The worst state in the country. It is ruled by goondagiri no matter which government congress/cpm/TMC or even BJP if that comes to power. People there love violence
