Gangster Vikas Dubey’s ‘encounter killing’ by UP police has ‘fake’ written all over it, especially given the record of CM Yogi Adityanath’s government. It betrays a chronic lack of respect for rule of law and judiciary, if not sheer incompetence in transporting a most-wanted criminal. Either way, it’s a disgrace.

  1. IT was the law abiding earlier governments which have brought UP to where it is. May be a chronic lack of respect for rule of law might just help improve the situation where the respect for rule of law has failed.

  2. In my view when there is a terrorist act or a rape or an act similar to it, the public or the police or within their rights to immediately punish the offender. Because, our legal frame work is weak and it takes years and years to get justice. We had seen this in the Nirbhaya Case. one after another the convicts were appealing due to a wrong order that they should be hanged together was passed by the highest court of the land. See now. with pandemic attack, public is relieved of such horrendous activities such as rape.

    • In that case, the bhogi should have been encountered long back as he has many cases of murder and instigating violence against him.

  3. Which government in India ever had respect for rule of law. How do you think he grew to become whatever he was now. Its nation’s collective failure, its time to try to find a solution and ensure the government takes it up.
Pointing to one or the other is just waste of time and ink.

  4. Look at corruption by air india check in agents at Mumbai airport. You’ll find a huge story there involving multiple staffers.
