Economic Survey 2023-24 has come down harshly on India’s private sector. Some criticism, such as blaming it for social media and fast food consumption, is unfair. And if companies aren’t investing adequately, it’s for government to figure out why. However, calling out mis-selling by financial companies met an urgent need.
