BRICS condemnation of Pahalgam terror attacks was expected — Pakistan not being a member helped

It’s no surprise that New Delhi got an unambiguous condemnation of Pahalgam terror attack. While Pakistan wasn’t blamed specifically, the language is strong enough to hit where it hurts. Of course, Pakistan not being in BRICS helped, unlike the SCO, where Beijing is the leader and Pakistan a loyal member.

Political mutants are emerging in UK, US. Natural outcome of populism & ideology mix

Elon Musk has a new political party. Corbyn wants one. Farage is unputdownable. Even MAGA has gotten trapped in a shrill pamphlet mode. As old ideologies, populism and opportunism mix and muddy politics, mutants will emerge. New claimants to ideologies are springing up in two of the most important democracies.

Uddhav and Raj Thackeray’s reunion will jeopardise MVA

Uddhav Thackeray’s desperation to reunite with cousin Raj is confounding. MNS chief is a BJP discard. He is incredibly irrelevant in Maharashtra politics. Raj brings nothing to the table, except naked goondaism. Senior Congress leaders’ absence from Thackerays’ ‘victory’ rally was an unmistakable message to Uddhav. Reunion will jeopardise MVA.

  1. Ms. Shailaja Bajpai went hammer and tongs at Raj Thackeray. Why and what for?
The Print, quite cleverly, avoids putting out any editorial which condemns the Mamata Banerjee administration for it’s rampant corruption and state of lawlessness.
Ms. Bajpai does not excoriate Udhayanidhi Stalin for comparing Hinduism to HIV.
But poor Raj Thackeray gets the stick.
That, in itself, tells us of the ideological and political leanings of The Print.

  2. Why this animus against Raj Thackeray? What has he done to be treated with such disdain and contempt?
You guys happily lend support to the goonda-ism of Mamata Banerjee and her TMC. You never ever question her utterly communal politics of Muslim appeasement. Her feral MPs – Mahua Moitra, Sayoni Ghosh, etc. – use the vilest language and most obscene gestures in Parliament but you guys never condemn it. You don’t utter a word against the utterly corrupt and morally bankrupt TMC leadership.
But you get throw the sink on Raj Thackeray. Why?
