Supreme Court’s order on menstrual leave is on point. Mandatory period leaves will work as a disadvantage for women in competitive workplaces. Women’s participation in Indian workforce is already low. Women don’t grow professionally as fast as men do. We don’t need a system that discourages employers from recruiting women.
