Assassination attempt on Sukhbir Singh Badal underlines rising radicalism in Punjab. Return to panthic politics by Akal Takht runs contrary to the spirit of democracy and word of law, which holds all political parties to secularism. Atonement is Badal’s opportunity to rebuild. Hopefully in his father’s footsteps of Sikh-Hindu unity.

Rahul Gandhi no longer wearing his ‘Adani politics’ on just his sleeve

Rahul Gandhi is no longer wearing his ‘Adani politics’ on just his sleeve. It’s painted across the back of his T-shirt. The LoP is finally mastering the art of attracting cameras, but is turning his politics into gimmickry. Revolutions do indeed begin on T-shirts but end in college final year.

  1. Rahul Gandhi has always been a joke. And it seems like he will remain a joke for the rest of his political career.
As for Indira’s Emergency, the primary culprit was the Indian media. The very same media houses which decry Modi as an incarnation of Hitler were silent back then. In fact, some of them (e.g. Amrit Bazar Patrika of Calcutta) were shameless enough to support the Emergency.
As for Punjab, it was a cesspool and it seems like it will remain so for the foreseeable future.
