Death of Iran’s hardline President Ebrahim Raisi, front runner to replace an aging Ali Khamenei as Supreme Leader, won’t bring about any policy change on Israel or US. In fact, his death is likely to make any resolution harder because a new President will find it difficult to appear conciliatory.
Prolonged 7-phase elections make little sense. Only work for BJP
Monday’s polling in 49 constituencies stretched over eight states and UTs underlines irrational wastefulness of seven-phase elections.
