Opposition did well to bring down a bill that sought to conduct delimitation under the garb of women’s reservation. The government wasted an opportunity to implement the quota immediately by not delinking it from delimitation. Its propensity to steamroll measures leaves it with a bruised nose, again. Consensus-building isn’t weakness.
