Sense has finally dawned on India’s cricket administrators and they’ve revoked the suspension of Hardik Pandya and K.L. Rahul. Punishing the two for their controversial comments on a TV show was a gross overreaction and showed the court-appointed administrators have gone berserk. Time to sensitise players and suspend overstaying administrators.

Justice Lokur’s collegium comment shows there’s still a problem with transparency

The statement by former Supreme Court judge Madan B. Lokur that collegium system needs to be tweaked is an admission that all is still not well with the manner in which judges are being selected. The ongoing controversy also puts the onus on CJI-headed collegium to bring more transparency.
