The TDP-dominated Council blocked his ill-conceived idea of three capitals, justifying the checks and balances that bicameral legislatures bring. Parliament shouldn’t entertain such resolutions.

Union minister Anurag Thakur has crossed a dangerous line with his veiled incitement of violence during the Delhi election campaign. The BJP is again playing with fire with its polarisation politics while accusing rivals of being divisive. The Election Commission should stop this before such hate mongering leads to bloodshed.
