Colombo needs new policies, not new faces. India and other well-wishers should push Sri Lanka to rapidly complete IMF bailout negotiations, bitter as its terms might be.

West Bengal-based IFB Agro having to fund political parties through electoral bonds in return for ease of doing business is shameful. Opaqueness of electoral bonds was always a problem and using it now as ‘protection money’ legitimises corruption. This is one more nail in Bengal’s reputation as an investment destination.
