New Delhi: ‘Infected with socialism for long’, Argentina witnessed an economic collapse but has emerged as a global example of fiscal responsibility under his leadership, Javier Milei has said.
The Argentinian President was delivering a special address at the World Economic Forum in Davos Thursday.
Milei, the far-Right mascot, expounded on how his capitalist agenda led to economic prosperity in his country while delivering a scathing criticism of woke-ism, socialism, and expanding bureaucracies.
Calling for a cure for the ‘mental virus of woke ideology’ in the West, he criticised the effects of feminism, gender equality and environmentalism on society. He also highlighted the rise of the far-Right by naming his allies—Giorgia Meloni and Viktor Orbán to Benjamin Netanyahu and Donald Trump.
In Episode 1594 of CutTheClutter, Editor-in-Chief Shekhar Gupta shares the highlights of the speech and its implications.
