New Delhi: The UK Friday summoned the Russian ambassador to the country over allegations of “malicious” activity on UK soil, the country’s Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) said.

The FCDO is “deeply concerned” about reports and what it described as a “wider reported pattern of behaviour” by Russia to sponsor such activity on the territory of other sovereign states.

The department called for an immediate end to the alleged activity.

The department called for an immediate end to the alleged activity and said it would continue to work with its allies to deter and defend against “the full spectrum of threats that emanate from Russia”.

“We call for an immediate cessation of this activity and we will continue to work with our allies to deter and defend against the full spectrum of threats that emanate from Russia,” an FCDO spokesperson said.
