New Delhi: General Gwyn Jenkins has been appointed as the new National Security Adviser, replacing Sir Tim Barrow, who took up the role in September 2022, a UK govt press release stated.
General Gwyn Jenkins has a distinguished career in both the military and the heart of government, and has held a number of senior positions, including Deputy National Security Adviser.
He will take up his new role in the summer. He expressed his honor in being appointed to this key position, and his excitement to return to the Cabinet Office at a critical time for our national security. He also mentioned the significant progress made through the National Security Council in organizing, preparing for, and responding to threats.
