MEXICO CITY (Reuters) – A Mexican woman and man are believed to have been taken hostage by the Hamas group in Gaza on Saturday, Mexico’s Foreign Minister Alicia Barcena announced on social media platform X on Sunday.

An unknown number of hostages were taken by Palestinian militant political group Hamas after it launched a surprise attack in Israel on Saturday.
