Luxembourg PM calls on PM Modi, stresses on better bilateral relations

Frieden expresses gratitude for India's support in resolving conflict in Ukraine.

New Delhi: Prime Minister of Luxembourg, Luc Frieden, called the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi, on behalf of the people and government of Luxembourg, extending his congratulations on his re-election for the third consecutive term, a PIB press release stated.

During the call, Prime Minister Frieden expressed his gratitude for India’s support in resolving the conflict in Ukraine, and expressed his hope to strengthen the bilateral ties between the two countries in various areas.

The two leaders reaffirmed their commitment to work together in diverse areas, including trade, investment, sustainable finance, industrial manufacturing, health, space, and people-to-people relations. They also exchanged views on regional and global issues, including the conflict in Ukraine.

The Prime Minister of Luxembourg expressed appreciation for the role of India in supporting the end of the conflict in Ukraine. He expressed his hope to ensure early peace and stability.

The two leaders extended an invitation to the Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg and the Prime Minister of Frieden to visit India.
