New Delhi: Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Thursday extended his condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the devastating Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad.

“Saddened by the tragic crash of Air India flight near Ahmedabad today. We extend our condolences to the families of the victims grieving this immense loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with all those affected by this heartbreaking tragedy,” he wrote on X.

Of the 230 passengers on board, 53 were British nationals. The only known survivor, Ramesh Vishwakumar, is a British national.

Apart from Sharif, Pakistan Peoples Party Chair Bilawal Bhutto Zardari too reacted to the tragedy, saying he was “shocked and saddened” and offered his “profound condolences”.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Muslim League (N) leader Nawaz Sharif posted on X: “This devastating loss transcends borders and reminds us of our shared humanity. My deepest sympathies to Prime Minister Modi and the people of India.”

  1. A country that just sent missiles into densely populated civilian areas is now
Heartbroken! How can the print publish such rubbish. Only question is if Pak has a hand in any subterfuge that led to this tragedy.
