BEIJING (Reuters) – China’s defence ministry said on Thursday that Taiwan’s government is deliberately “hyping up” the so-called military threat from China for its own selfish gain.

China’s People’s Liberation Army is well aware of moves by Taiwan’s military, and will take all necessary measures to safeguard national sovereignty and territorial integrity, ministry spokesperson Wu Qian told reporters in Beijing.
