New Delhi: US President Joe Biden has announced the entire presidential delegation scheduled to to attend the opening and closing ceremonies of the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, a White House press release stated. The Opening Ceremony of the Games will take place on 28 August.
The delegation will be led by Senator Tammy Duckworth. The full list of presidential delegates for the opening ceremony includes Denise Campbell Bauer, US Ambassador to the French Republic and the Principality of Monaco; Tanya Bradsher, Deputy Secretary, US Department of Veterans Affairs; Claudia Gordon, Chair, National Council on Disability; Brad Snyder, three-time Paralympian, six-time Paralympic gold medalist, Men’s Para Swimming and Para Triathlon, and retired US Navy EOD Officer; and Xavier Becerra, Secretary of the United States Department of Health and Human Services.
Xavier Becerra will lead the delegation to the Closing of the Paralympic Games on 8 September. The delegation will include Danté Q Allen, Commissioner, Rehabilitation Services Administration, US Department of Education; Sara Minkara, US Special Advisor on International Disability Rights, US Department of State; and Muffy Davis, International Paralympic Committee Governing Board Member, three-time Paralympian, and seven-time Paralympic medalist, Alpine Skiing and Cycling.
