ASEAN Secretary-General to lead delegation at Digital Ministers’ Meeting

New Delhi: The secretary-general of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), Kao Kim Hourn, will lead the ASEAN Secretariat’s delegation to the 5th ASEAN Digital Ministers’ Meeting (ADGMIN) and related events in Bangkok, Thailand, on Jan. 16-17. The meeting is hosted by Thailand, the ADGMIN chair for 2025. Hourn will attend at the invitation of Prasert Jantararuangtong, Thailand’s deputy prime minister and minister of digital economy and society.

The 5th ADGMIN and related meetings will discuss ways to advance the vision of building ASEAN as a digital community and economic bloc, empowered by secure and transformative digital services, technologies, and ecosystems, as highlighted in the ASEAN Digital Masterplan 2025.

SG Dr. Kao will also meet with Ministers and high-level representatives from ASEAN Member States, ASEAN Dialogue Partners, and the private sector.
