New Delhi: The 21st ASEAN Ministers on Energy Meeting Plus Three (China, Japan, Korea) took place Friday in Vientiane under the chairmanship of Lao PDR Energy Minister and Mines Phosay Sayasone.

The ministers reviewed the progress of energy cooperation in the region and discussed ways to strengthen regional energy connectivity and build resilience in the face of evolving global challenges. The meeting also expressed appreciation for Lao PDR’s role in strengthening regional collaboration, enhancing the collective capacity to respond to emerging challenges, and ensuring the region’s continued resilience to a sustainable and stable energy future.

The ministers pledged to take collective and coordinated actions to mitigate the impacts of the global energy crisis, promote energy security and sustainable development, and enhance regional energy resilience.
