BJP & RSS-linked think-tanks challenging left-of-centre ideology, which is said to have always hogged Delhi’s intellectual discourse, even without real academic research.
As Narendra Modi becomes India’s second-longest consecutively serving Prime Minister, we look at how he compares with Indira Gandhi across four key dimensions.
Taking a leaf out of China’s diplomatic push:
1. Leverage Indian media companies to invest in movies which promote India and Indian Culture in the light that it deserves, not just Slumdog Millionaires or Gang-Rapes
2. Encourage Indian newspapers like Economic Times etc. to have an international edition which is placed in airports/ kiosks in major business centers across the world
3. Tap into the Indian diaspora to act as ambassadors of India
4. Increase awareness of Indian diaspora among Indians through dedicated programs/ segments on Twitter/ Instagram or Television – quality of tourists from India needs to improve.

India is has outstanding foreign affairs ambassadors — India Inc, think tanks and academicians, but the culture on flouring of stolen money and not earned money will just not let them come to effective position. Every move in that direction is vehemently opposed because the vested interests are just over powering.
This will be an excellent initiative. We are 70 years late, but never too late to start. The large Indian diaspora could also play a very important role.
Chari is moving from inanity to stupidity in his articles…. This is not election analysis. He should begin to think a bit more seriously… This is not a RSS shaka bulletin
