Regional leaders, from Sharad Pawar to Mayawati and Mamata, share stage with the Gandhis at swearing-in ceremony, welcome Naidu and Kejriwal ‘under the tent’.
The roots of the latest charges go back to 2005, the year the Railways – under Lalu as minister – decided to lease out its hotels to private companies for maintenance.

Ventures by Japan, South Korea and Taiwan illustrate how the race for REE security is accelerating, powered by both geopolitical tension and industrial strategy.
ThePrint had previously reported that India & Russia are talking about 5 more regiments of the S-400, but no contracts are to be signed during the Russian president's visit.
The India-South Africa series-defining fact is the catastrophic decline of Indian red ball cricket where a visiting team can mock us with the 'grovel' word.
William Shakespeare in his popular comedy ” The Twelfth Night” ruminated on the concept of greatness in these besutiful words,
” Some are born great, some achieve greatness and some have greatness thrust upon them !”
In this context, two Haryana officers, Dr. Ashok Khemka IAS and Ms. Sangeeta Kalia IPS are rare exceptions !
To my mind, they fall in the second Shakespearean criteria of greatness ! They have to achieve greatness because it is not a by chance phenomenon for these two .
Dr. Ashok Khemka is a dauntless officer not in the habit of compromising on principles, rules and regulations though he has to pay very dearly for the same in form of his very frequent transfers from one department to another. His popularity and greatness knows
no bounds !
Then Ms. Sangeeta Kalia too deserves compliments for discharging her duties and responsibilities without fear and favour. She has also succeeded in attaining name and fame by dint of her hard work and tough stance in office.Like Dr.Ashok Khemka she is also uncompromising on principles, norms and rule of law.
Ms.Kalia haunts Mr. Anil Vij Haryana Minister time and again because she has decided not to bow before the alleged arrogance of
the Minister. The Minister too instead of turning polite prefers to take things too far unduly making official functioning something
personal and prestigious every now and then, not learning anything from his past experiences. Being a Minister he should show grace
and magnanimity in his dealings with his officers !
It is Ms.Kalia who constrains Mr. Vij to knock at the doors of Chief Minister Haryana to transfer her repeatedly !
Ironically, the Chief Minister too instead of impressing upon the Minister to behave obliges him making a mockery of transfer policy of Haryana government !
A course correction on the part of Haryana government dire need of the hour valuing ” harmony ” in government functioning !
