Over generations, Bihar’s bane has been its utter lack of urbanisation. But now, even Bihar is urbanising. Or let’s say, rurbanising. Two decades under Nitish Kumar have created a new elite in its cities.
Indian govt officials last month skipped Turkish National Day celebrations in Delhi, in a message to Ankara following its support for Islamabad, particularly during Operation Sindoor.
Bihar is blessed with a land more fertile for revolutions than any in India. Why has it fallen so far behind then? Constant obsession with politics is at the root of its destruction.
Such a straightforward case of corruption must have got solved only a few days or at the most a month or two after the investigations began on it. Then why did the Haryana (BJP) government wait for 5 years to re-start flashing news on it? (I remember this case was in the news even before the 2014 elections.)
It is pathetic that the BJP clan has to kick on such dead horses to kick-start their 2019 campaign. It is tantamount to admitting that they have no positive accomplishments to show to the voter for the coming elections.
Ashok Khemka stepped onto a live mine when he exposed this transaction some years ago. The new government has not made him Director of Town and Country Planning, either.
