As the Dragon spacecraft docked the orbital laboratory Thursday, Shubhanshu Shukla, on board, marked India's return to human spaceflight after 41 years.
The Grace Dragon spacecraft has docked in the lower Earth orbit over the North Atlantic Ocean, joining the Harmony module of the floating International Space Station.
The crew was travelling over Europe in the Lower Earth Orbit, when they tuned in for the video message. They are expected to dock at the ISS at 4.30 pm Thursday.
