SEBI probe concluded that purported loans and fund transfers were paid back in full and did not amount to deceptive market practices or unreported related party transactions.
Many really smart people now share the position that playing cricket with Pakistan is politically, strategically and morally wrong. It is just a poor appreciation of competitive sport.
Thank you to the Print team for publishing this article dedicated to this film and these songs. It is also somewhere a tribute to what India is and what it should be if ishe had followed what is at the bottom of the conscience of its people: tolerance.
Rajesh Khanna and Sharmila Tagore are irreplaceable in this sublime, platonic love story. For me personally, Sharmila is one of the finest, most versatile and courageous actor THE WORLD has ever produced.
It is one of the finest movie I’ve ever seen. The movie remembers for songs and Rajesh Khanna’s dialog. But, it’s a Woman centric movie and Sharmila Tagore played the role of Pushpa fantastically well, ultimately it’s a Sharmilaji’s movie.
My favourite moment ‘When Pushpa insists Rajesh Khanna not to come over and then Rajeshji see uneaten Samosas. Rajesh Khanna realises young Nandu don’t come anymore so Pushpa doesn’t need Samosas so Rajeshji’. What an emotional moment and filmed perfectly.
It is really very frustrating that RD BURMAN did not get any award for his brilliant composition of songs for the film AMAR PREM. Shankar Jaikisen won the filmfare music director’s award for the film Beimaan. Surprisingly, no one remembers the songs of this movie. RD BURMAN lives in our memory. Songs of AMAR PREM, like the name of the movie, is IMMORTALLY LOVED by everyone.
You are indeed right!
But the music of Amar Prem is the everlasting kind. It’s not for a year or a decade. It’s for the ages.
The Filmfare award had a better reputation those days. But this decision was frankly incomprehensible.
