The government has indicated that it plans to bring an impeachment motion against Justice Varma during the monsoon session of Parliament which is slated to begin on 21 July.
This is the game every nation is now learning to play. Some are finding new allies or seeing value among nations where they’d seen marginal interest. The starkest example is India & Europe.
The Supreme Chief Justice of India (SCJI), Mr. Kapil Sibal, has already declared Justice Varma as innocent. To quote milord – “….. he is one of our finest judges. Frankly speaking, I have never heard anything negative about him.”
On the basis of this “evidence”, SCJI Mr. Sibal has declared Justice Varma as innocent.
How does it matter whether the Congress thinks otherwise.
