Govt.PSU’s are to be blamed. Indian Ordinance factory , HAL are fit for nothing.
The problem with indigenous assault rifles would be lack of feedback and virtually no civilian gun ownership.
Take Czech Slovakia for an example, it is a very small country both in size and economy but they are among the best gun makers in the world.

Only few country police department use this..then why our Army?? Our Army should use what US/UK Army uses..
India must go with Israel tavor series of assault rifles and carbine and making ak103 in India is a good decision.
