Standing up to America is usually not a personal risk for a leader in India. Any suggestions of foreign pressure unites India behind who they see as leading them in that fight.
All very good but no answers on why this has come about. The speech is nothing more then blaming the other side. Pretty banal stuff with some inaccuracies maybe pandering to the author’s own prejudices.
Surely he would be called Rahimuddin Gandhi now and awarded titles like ‘anti-national’, traitor’, and ‘desh drohi’ – for speaking noting, but the truth.
