Her decision not to view twin issues of career and family growth either as poles apart or conflicting ones should be a soothing
and sweet lesson for the modern Indian youth who nowadays prefer to sacrifice family growth- obligations at the altar of career
growth !
Ironically, the Indian youth of today views “growth” just in materialistic terms measuring it in terms of packages running madly
from one company to another in hope of enhanced packages. He or she is unmindful of the fact whether he or she is in a position
to enjoy the package bank balance or not ? The fact can not be denied that youth not only in India but elsewhere in the world too
with a lop-sided bent of mind is out to overlook many other finer aspects of life just and just for “career growth mania”. There are numerous instances in India where very well placed professionals are under depression and consequently their marital relations
strained and fast crumbling too !
The nations numbering about ninety two having no provision of paternity leave should initiate measures promptly in this regard
to encourage and promote this healthy psyche of growing career and family hand in hand ! Ms.Ardern has proved that it is very
much possible.
Madhya Pradesh Governor Ms. Anandiben Patel must take a leaf from the book of Ms.Ardern to go in for a positive and innovative
frame of mind for the cheerful growth of society !
