On 22 April, 2025, terrorists killed 25 Indians—24 tourists and a Kashmiri local—and 1 Nepalese tourist at Baisaran meadows in Pahalgam before fleeing the tourist spot. Eyewitness accounts indicate victims were singled out on the basis of religion, shot at close range in front of their families.
At the time of the attack, PM Modi was in Saudi Arabia on an official visit and US Vice President JD Vance was visiting India. Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) offshoot The Resistance Front (TRF) claimed responsibility for the attack.
The Cabinet Committee of Security (CCS) chaired by PM Modi met the day after the attack and in a statement highlighted a potential link to Pakistan, saying “cross-border linkages of the terrorist attack were brought out”.
Controlled, measured, non-reactive, soft, low level, optics type response?? why? because Pakistant is a nuclear power. Thats the narrative the Indian government have been toeing since indipendence even after 26/11 India did nothing using the same excuse. Result thousands of innocent people died, havent seen any political leader or top defence brss die in such incident. if this is the gold standard to be followed then why keep such a costly army and para-military, disband it and let the people do their own secutiry.
Russia is threatened every day with similar narrative that the west have much superior technology and tons of nuclear capabilities and NATO WILL step in at any moment with such superior technologies and desicate Russia. Did Russia stop, with time its now seen those were all hollow, claims of superior tech were all bogus.
But in India there are such coward voices unfortunately even from among the defence who wants a comfortable cool armchair life why take the trouble of standing on our feet. All is fine and nice its just that we have to feed some of our damn commoners to the beast….a small price for the nice, cool, confortable life that we are enjoying.
Everything is impossible untill you do it.
As of now Indians dosnt seem to be in that state…..will it ever be….develope a little straighter spine……WELL??? NOT LIKELY.
