ED has secured 11 convictions in last 8 months, a massive jump from just 3 between 2002 and 2017. It has also stepped up its investigations and other activities.

Indians have a thousnand thanks to ED. They are doing a commandable job. There should be no mercy to these money launderers (as Xi chinese president says).,Even if they are worngfully got into ED’s net, since they have so much wealth stashed all over, they will never suffer financially. My salutes to ED. I think after ISRO,it is the ED doing a commandable job for India .( off course Indian defence forces are alwyas performing to the best, inspitie of they have been weakened by Antony & co. of UPA)
Why ED is only the dreaded nightmare of Indian politicians & businessmen and not of a common man? We all agree that the loot has been formalised over years since independence. One only needs to look at the alleged amounts and accused involved since the first scandal of jeeps to the latest defence and coal scandals. Why did no other government talk about and go after the alleged scamsters, not even Dr. Singh’s government. He was in power for ten years with a personally clean reputation.
Unfortunately over 70 years the investigation wing was never strengthened, the legal framework it needed was not provided and judiciary neglected to ensure that the cases do not see either conviction or acquittal.
The failures of ED are the designs of the successive rulers who were corrupt or wanted to protect the corrupt. In most of the current cases the courts appear to have accepted a prima facie case and remanded the accused to custodies of different types even this was was not done earlier. With money gone not many will be able to afford the super lawyers playing out their games.
