Operation Sindoor is a series of missile attacks by Indian armed forces on nine terror targets in Pakistan and PoK in the early hours of 7 May 2025 in response to the Pahalgam terror attack.
Between 1:05 AM and 1:30 AM on 7 May, 2025, Indian armed forces struck 9 terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (Pok). This included the headquarters of Lashkar-e-Taiba in Muridke and Jaish-e-Mohammed in Bahawalpur. In a statement, the Indian government said its actions were “focused, measured and non-escalatory in nature” and that “no Pakistani military facilities have been targeted”.
Underlining the Pakistan link to the Pahalgam attack, the statement said India is “living up to the commitment that those responsible for this attack will be held accountable”.
Pakistan reacted to the precision strikes by sending in drone swarms into Indian border states, and launching missiles on military and civilian infrastructure in India. Indian armed forces responded by striking airbases in Pakistan. On 10 May, Pakistan’s Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) called his Indian counterpart and the two agreed on an understanding to cease all military hostilities starting 5 pm that day.
The Print editorial team came guns blazing in support of Prof. Mahmudabad. It was fun to watch though. A single arrest activated the whole liberal-secular ecosystem. Modi sure knows how to rile up his opponents and get under their skin.
The unfortunate part is the hounding of BJP MPs/MLAs for “controversial” remarks. If Mahmudabad can dog-whistle and openly instigate Muslims against Hindus, BJP MPs/MLAs have every right to do the opposite.
What about the dog-whistling of Prof. Mahmudabad (even referred to by the Supreme Court in it’s bail order)? What about the consistent Hindu-baiting and anti-Hindu hatred spewed by Prof. Mahmudabad across different social media platforms and academic forums?
The Print, in cahoots with the liberal-secular cabal, went hammer and tongs at the Haryana government for arresting Mahmudabad.
But the very same media outlets want the BJP to expel it’s MPs and MLAs for their comments targeting Muslim individuals. What kind of hypocrisy is this? Aren’t you even ashamed of yourselves?
If Prof. Mahmudabad can be exonerated by saying that he was “exercising his right to free speech”, then why shouldn’t the same standards be applicable for BJP MPs/MLAs?
Not stray incidents. Part of a pattern.
