The Madhya Pradesh govt has faced criticism over its handling of Covid-19. The new cabinet includes ex-Congress leader Tulsi Silawat, a former health minister.
Jyotiraditya Scindia needs to be more than a suave, English-speaking brand with an exotic last name and support in Lutyens' Delhi. That's not BJP's concern.
Pulmonologist Dr Ravi Dosi, who leads 100-member team at the Indore hospital, tells ThePrint TCZ fights off 'cytokines' blamed for causing mortality in critically ill Covid patients.
Madhya Pradesh has a chief minister, but no cabinet; a health department but it has become a hotspot. Is this even remotely an ideal situation when a pandemic is raging across the state?

Not just the state’s response. The national response too was dictated by the calendar of political developments in Madhya Pradesh. The swearing in and then winning the vote of confidence. Organically linked to the prorogation of Parliament and then the edict for the national lockdown. Whether there are four ministers or forty is not really germane. A three time CM, who in any case brooked few political rivals in the state Cabinet, should have been on top of the situation from day one. He would in any case have been keeping tabs on the evolving situation while being the effective leader of the opposition. Indore, the state’s commercial capital, is looking ravaged.
