The three-member panel, appointed by the apex court, analysed evidence and recorded the statements of over 50 people before finalising report on 3 May.
In an unprecedented move, the Supreme Court had uploaded case documents, photos & a video of the cash discovery incident at Delhi High Court judge Yashwant Varma's house on its website.
The cash row arose after the alleged discovery of half-burnt cash from Justice Yashwant Varma’s residence by police and firemen on 14 March night after a fire broke out on the premises.

The bar association has also questioned the procedure to appoint Supreme Court and high court judges, calling it non-transparent, and called for a review of the collegium system.

Since SCJI Kapil Sibal has not heard anything like this, Justice Varma can be exonerated.
